Negligent Future Sister-In-Law Abandons Baby Niece On Park Bench, Baby's Mom Refuses To Attend Wedding

On today's "Am I The A$$hole?" thread, we have all the usual themes coming together: family drama, weddings, babies, and a delusional bride. Who's ready to dive in? OP shared that after her future sister-in-law insisted on babysitting her baby daughter, she ended up losing control of her dog, and left the baby on a park bench to catch up to the dog. But she didn't just leave the baby on the bench for a few minutes - she forgot about the baby for TWO ENTIRE HOURS. Thankfully, the baby was found in one piece, but the parents were obviously fuming over the sister-in-law's insane negligence. OP decided she no longer wanted to attend the wedding, which resulted in her sister-law-calling calling her a "petty b*tch" and yelling that she wished the baby would have been kidnapped. WTF?!     Font - called into work and my SIL said that I shouldn't waste money on a babysitter when i could just let them take her for a bit (my husband was also at work). I guess at some point she decided to take her and her dog for a walk, she says they were walking through the park and the leash slipped out of her hand, without thinking she put my daughter on a near by bench (she was in a little carrier) and she ran after the dog, she didn't catch even the dog, and it wasn't until 2 hours later

    She left the baby on a park bench. For TWO HOURS. That's beyond messed up.

    Font - that she even realised that she was missing. When i came to pick up my daughter she she broke down and told me everything. I was livid, but i was so thankful no one kidnapped her. My husband was so mad he stormed down to their house just to yell at her. She recently messaged me details about her wedding, i told her i would not be attending, she called me, sobbing saying that i'm a petty bitch

Didn't my child, your niece, need you for two hours and you completely disregarded her? Clearly needs are only important when they come to you, and it sucks that your future children will learn that truth the hard way."
